The woman God uses

What will you be remembered for?

Romans 16, John 4

Right from the beginning in the book of Genesis, God made man; male and female (Gen 1: 27-28).

This was a demonstration that God will use both men and women to fulfill His purposes on earth.
Even though man is the head, the woman is also a vessel of honour in God's hands.

Throughout the Old Testament God has used women in His service.

The characteristics of the Woman God uses.

  1. Humility: A woman of God must be humble before God and man. If you are not humble like a child, God will not use you.

God resists the proud, but giveth Grace to the humble (James 4: 6)
Humble yourself in the site of the Lord and He will lift you up (James 4: 10).

  1. Prayerfulness: You must be a prayerful woman for God to use you (Esther 4:16).
A praying Christian is a powerful Christian. A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian (Acts 6:4).
Studying God's Word and being prayerful are requisite for your spiritual growth and maturity. This prepares you for the master's use (2 Timothy 2:20-26).

Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, "The Lord knows them that are his". And, "Let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity".
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel for honour, sanctified, and meet (profitable) for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will (2 Tim 2:19-26).

  1. Faithfulness: The woman God will use in this end-time must be a faithful woman of God. She must be faithful to her husband, to the church, and to the work of the Lord (Matt 27:55-56). When you are faithful unto God, then God can trust you and use you to minister to all mankind. Women like Dorcas in the Bible were faithful in serving God, hence God blessed her life.

Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.
And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, " Tabitha, arise". And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive. And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord. 43 And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner (Acts 9: 36-43).

  1. Holy Ghost Filled: On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured on both men and women in the upper room (Acts 2:1-10). When you receive the Holy Spirit, the power of God comes upon you and God uses you to do His work on earth. Any woman who will make herself available to the Holy Spirit will be used of God.

But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49).

In John 4:1-30 the woman at the well of Samaria thought that she would find love, peace, joy, and other kinds of fulfilment in marriage. She never did get any of these. Rather, she moved from husband to husband in need of help. Jesus told her the truth is that she should first get married to Jesus, and then Jesus will make her settle down in life.

Please woman, give your life to Jesus and all your needs shall be met by Him (Phil. 4:19).
