Healing a bedridden mother

Dear Pastor Victor Pastor Judith Emenike and your kids.

I thank the Lord and also you for the wonderful week of ministry and prayer teachings.

We look forward to June 2006 and by the grace of the Lord we meet you again.

It was the Monday after you had left us.

My work called me and asked me to take on a special case. I was asked to see a mother who had to be in a wheelchair for the last 3 months because of problems with the pelvis and/or lower back.

I do maternity nursing. That is nursing of the mother and child. They send me to a new mother who needs some nursing.

I usually work for seven days in a row, and then have some time off. My seven-day rotation ended on a Thursday. My employer then asked me if I could work an additional two days in order to take over from one of my colleagues who was unable to work those days. My employer thought it was something especially for me because of my level of experience.

When I arrived to this woman who had delivered her baby, she was sitting in a wheelchair as she had already done for the previous three months.

My colleagues had already spent a week with her but because of her condition she was receiving two extra days of care above what we usually give for a normal birth situation.

"Oh Lord," I thought, "Do you already have a first case for me?"

Then immediately my mind told me, "Don't look to what you see, but see what Jesus sees. He lives in me. He has the faith for you if you believe Jesus."

I thought that this was such a precious teaching from the Lord. I asked Him, "Will you make an opening for me so that this new mother will learn to know you too?"

I was excited to go and see what the Lord could do for this lady. I thought of her walking alone and free outside of her home. Freely walking. In my ears I heard what you Pastor Victor and Judith said, "Pray and look what the Lord is doing, pray that He shows me what He sees, and that the Lord talks to me."

So on Thursday morning her husband opened the door and a little boy of 2 years welcomed me.

Upstairs the lady, full of expectation, lay in bed looking very pale.

She told me she had been unable to walk for the past three months. Her pelvis was painful and she could not lift her legs. She had no control over them at all.

Because of the weakness of the pelvis, and the fact that she became pregnant, the doctors were not sure of the cause. They also thought that there might be a problem with her lower back. She could not dress herself, could not step out of her bed, or even get up from a chair. She was very frightened of everything, for all the movements we usually do without thinking, caused her great pain.

Not only that but her muscles were cramping. Yet she was glad to see me and told me her whole story including the delivery of a healthy young baby boy. She told me that during the delivery, "I had the feeling there was an Angel on my shoulder."

This was for me the opening I had asked the Lord for. Thank you Lord. I asked her, "Do you belief in Jesus?" "Well no," she replied. "Not quite, but I have a friend and she tells me about it, and she prays for me, but I don't believe."

So I told her that I believe in Jesus and that I could not live without him.

Then I helped her out of her bed and she was holding on to me with both hands very strongly. She could now move her feet a little by little bit, trembling all over her body.

Her whole body had a very white unhealthy color.

Slowly we managed to get to the shower where she was able to stand by herself for a wile. I brought her the newborn boy and put him in her arms. Now she could give her whole attention to her son. She enjoyed it so much.

After that I dried her with a towel. She could barely raise her legs one by one moving back to her bed.

Then I asked, "Shall I give you a massage?" She liked that. She told me that her physiotherapist refused to do something for her. She called him after she gave birth and he still refused to help her. She then called another one who also refused to help her.

I started the massage, which lasted for three hours. During this time the Lord was leading me in telling her the Good News.

Meanwhile I prayed that the muscle cells and her entire body would be restored, bringing power back just as God had created them as it is written in Jeremiah, in Jesus name. I had brought fresh anointing oil from home just as you teach us, "every day fresh oil."

The lady listened like a child and she was so glad.

After the massage she slept for one hour. She told me that her whole body had a sparkling feeling.

She now had a healthy color on her face and legs. Her whole body was pink. She was amazed and happy that God, Jesus must be assisting me in my work.

After she woke up she got up again, walking now with bigger steps while still holding my hands.

She then began to walk just looking forward without holding my hands. I was walking just in front of her. Then we went down the stairs backwards one foot at a time.

At the ground floor I noticed that she did not move her arms as most people do when they walk. vThan after I was there for 9.5 hours her husband came home. As I left, I asked him to get the stroller from the garage because he was the only one there who was tall enough to reach it.

He promised that he would and I went home that day leaving her to the Lord for further restoration that night and sleep. I was curious what the Lord had done for her that night.

The expectation we had both declared was that she would walk alone the next day. She was rejoicing and was showing new faith.

On the following morning I found already a totally different lady. There was color on her face, a beautiful smile, and shining eyes full of expectation. She did not have muscle pain during the night and she had experienced a deep and restorative sleep.

We started to practice walking upstairs looking straight ahead without any help. I looked to her and thought, "Lord, she is not using her arms at all." At that very moment her arms started to move up and down. Even her hips were turning in a nice rhythm. We where so happy!

"I thank you Lord," we said together. I told her that I had prayed for her and that I was very curious to see what the Lord had done for her.

I also told her that I knew that He always wants to heal people and that He has the power to do it. She replied that she could see that I am a Christian and that she sees the same in her girlfriend. What she was seeing was the life of Jesus Christ living in us. I replied, "What you see now is His life in you."

She was amazed. I continued, "The Lord has been working through your girlfriend. He planted His seed and ploughed it this way. He has sent me to you to show you what real life is in Christ and to show you who has authority over your body." I used what I had learned during the School of ministry and Prayer and was able to tell her about it.

Again we could shower mother and baby. When I started the massage I was able tell her about the Lord. I noticed that the muscles did not feel as stiff as before. After 2 hours of massage she slept for half an hour. After that we went down the stairs. This was going much better than the day before. She was able to lift her legs much better now.

The baby carriage was not ready said her husband because the tires had to be pumped up. He advised us to use the wheelchair.

Well no I said. We will not use the wheelchair anymore. God had something much better in mind. We would just start walking by ourselves without any aids!

God knows so much better.

We went outside the house without something to lean on. And yes she started to move her arms again and the swing came back and she was able to walk for about 10 meters alone up and down the street.

She told me that it felt much different than at first inside the house. Her oldest son, who was two years old, was very glad to see his mother walking.

My employer had sent me there for two days, and this was the final day.

I thought that because I see what the Lord has done for her in just two short days I could not leave her by herself. I discussed with her the possibility of coming again the following day at no charge. She accepted. Her husband was still a bit reserved.

At eleven o'clock the next day, I went to her, together with the Lord. When I came into the house she greeted me while walking without any help. With a swing she placed one leg over the other while sitting down. She was happy to see me and she was surprised and exited because she could not do this before. Then she told me that the whole of her body was feeling much different than ever before. It was a tingling feeling.

Now I told her that the Lord had taken authority over her whole body that when she would ask Jesus into her heart the Holy Spirit would help her further. "Do you have a Bible?" I asked. She said, "No but I can get one from my girlfriend because she has many."

"Can you operate a computer?" I asked. "Oh yes," she replied. Then I gave her the it-is-easy website, and the English Bible on the site. I also asked her to first pray to ask the Holy Ghost to help her every day. I also gave her the small it-is easy booklet to read every day.

Then I wanted to massage her but to my surprise all her muscles were in good and soft shape! Also the big spot on her back had disappeared.

I showed her that I could do nothing because the Lord had restored everything in her body! Thank you Lord! Then I told her that we should now go out for a good walk.

She could move her legs and bend her knees up and down with no problem. So we almost ran down the stairs. In the living room I gave the newborn baby in her arms. This was the first time she was able to walk with the baby in her arms.

Her husband was at the telephone in the kitchen and saw her coming with the baby in her arms, swinging with her shoulders and hip. His mouth opened all the way, joy overcoming his face and his eyes.

He told the person on the telephone that he would call back later because his wife was walking towards him, and he put down the phone.

We gave the baby to the papa and told him that we would go outside to show him something. Outside we walked six times more than ever before. Her head was up looking forward. Now she found out that she could also walk backwards. Like most people, I thought that this was normal but for her it was a completely new experience.

"Now we start to jump," I said. She looked a bit afraid but I said to her that all is possible with the Lord and that she never should be afraid. So she jumped. There was no problem anymore.

Her husband and the baby were looking at us from the window and saw what his wife could do again. The two-year-old boy came running out of the House into his mother's arms.

I gave her my telephone number with the promise that I would answer whenever she wanted to ask me something. I then returned home. This day was the 15th of April, which was also the day of my marriage, so it was a great present of The Lord to me. Now I know that I am written in His hand. Thank you dear Lord. Jesus is my Lord.
