Testimony from Hay River, NWT

This testimony is from John W. who distributes bibles in the Yellowknife area.

Testimony date: 30th of January 2003

Greetings from the Lord's children in Yellowknife.

I am blessed and want to share this with you. My name is John W. from the Vineyard church here in Yellowknife.

My faith has been blessed, 300 bibles on hand 300 given out 2001.
1200 bible ordered and 1000 given out 2002.
Trips planned north for more distribution of the 200 on hand.

Blessings #1 Hearing healed 30 % more in the right ear, doctor amazed and I have the hearing tests to prove it. After my yearly hearing test for work the doctor stopped and said he did not believe it when the test results showed such improvement at my age ! only 45

Blessing #2 I struggled with low income and bills for 20 years. This year with all the excitement of the visit in August I let the Lord show me what to do with 20K. The word given to me was "Not to hide it"," not to stick it in the bank" but "to turn sadness into joy" !
I thought at first I was to buy my daughter a car so off I went looking ! This started in July, asked a man who had a particular car for sale why his house was empty and unused. He had given up on it and been for sale for a year. I bought the house just as your services ended, worth 230K for 167K.
It now houses 7 people. These folks where living 3 in a room and 3 in a hotel room. Yes I turned it into a duplex. Not only did the money triple each month but  the laborors where hired from the church and three families had work for two months. The tenants are coming to church too. God's plan is for good and to bless us. I have been feeling like Joshua, God is neither for us or against us but has invited us just to watch what the Lord will do.

Blessing #3 After years of working overtime and weekends and the family missing out on dad. The newest problem at the office was the lack of overtime spent this past  year. I worked only two weekends in 2002. This is a miracle in my life. Still made over 100K

Blessing #4 My oldest daughter suffered from my marriage separation. She is now in university trying to find her calling. She turns more to the Lord now and attends church weekly. She writes about the truth the Lord is revealing to her and finds the Lord a comfort in the busy days of school. This girl missed getting marks in first semester of grade 11 due to lack of caring, now talks of making the honor role.

Blessing #5 My second son missed three months of grade 11 and was found on the streets during the day last year. This past term he had this to say about school. "Never missed a day this year", just got a 90+ average at end of term.

Blessing #6 My youngest daughter aged 7 baptized last year as a believer. Her artistic heart is showing and we give her all the encouragement to be who Jesus made her to be. She has danced in church. She is now in ballet class. She just came from school where she played Beethoven's "Ode to Joy". Today she played it from memory, She is free in deed !
I am blessed because I can see my children are blessed.

In closing please pray for my separated wife who does not feel she is blessed. This is a lie which is holding her and binding her. Her father was depressed for 30 years and she seems to believe she is cursed the same.

We want to say thanks to all those who are praying for us.

And in all we thank our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit for doing such mighty work through us.
