Report from Stony Plain, Alberta and Yellowknife, NWT

Report date: 30 September 2005

Report from Gayleen Reese
(Listen to the audio from the meetings)

Stony Plain is a community a few kilometres west of Edmonton, the capital of the province of Alberta, Canada.

Lighthouse Church in Stony Plain is a Pentecostal church whose heart is to reach the people in and around Edmonton and Stony Plain with the Good News of the healing power that is only found in Jesus Christ.

Pastor Victor was invited by Pastor Archie Binnie to minister at Lighthouse Church 16-22 September 2005.

We were extremely blessed to travel with It Is Easy Ministries to Stony Plain, Alberta and Yellowknife, NWT this September. The team included the ministry's Webmaster, my parents Bill and Norma Cowell, and we 3 Reeses, Paul, Matthew and Gayleen.

Our first meeting was on Friday night, and I had the opportunity to share my testimony. Pastor Archie of Lighthouse church (our host) then spoke and we closed the meeting with a wonderful ministry time. Many people came forward with a variety of needs from physical to emotional. On Saturday morning, Pastor Victor gave us an incredible teaching on "Getting from Knowledge to Knowing". He taught us that there is a difference between knowing the Word or Scripture, and knowing or having a full revelation that it literally applies to your life. The level of our knowing determines the level of manifestation we will receive.

Our words are a great indication of what we know and the revelation we have. Do we say something is hard? Or impossible? How many times have we said, "Our city is too hard to evangelize, the spiritual darkness is too strong?" or something to that effect. Pastor Victor taught us that when we declare something is impossible, we are declaring it to be "bigger" than God and more than He can handle. It is time we got to know God better. It is time we determined to have a full revelation of Him and not simply head knowledge. It is time we moved from knowledge to knowing so those around us can see that what Christianity offers is the solution for the world, and we are indeed powerful movers and shakers following the Almighty Lord.

That Saturday night, Pastor Victor taught us that God is the Giver, He is the One Who gives, but we must determine to receive. Once we have accepted and received what the Lord has offered, we are then to use it. It is not enough to simply hold onto God's gifts and continue to pray for Him to change our family, friends, city, and country. It is up to each of us to use the gifts the Lord has given us to effect the changes we are praying for.

Pastor Victor challenged us by asking us all, "What have you received?" and, "What are you doing with it?" He then reminded us that the Holy Spirit is not our servant, we are His. He also exhorted us to keep our enthusiasm and fire for the Lord. One way to test this is by looking at how the people around us have been changing and growing. If the people we are in touch with are being drawn to Christ and are growing in Him, our faith is still on fire.

The meeting then turned into a powerful time of healing, signs and wonders. Pastor Victor called many people forward for words of wisdom, knowledge and the prophetic. These occurrences continued on Sunday morning at the service. One woman who had received oil on her hands after she came forward to be freed from arthritis, returned on Sunday saying her joints are steadily improving. A man with hip pain for 5 years had it disappear on the spot.

That Sunday, Pastor Victor continued teaching us on owning our revelations of God. He challenged us by telling us anyone who is still wrestling with earthly things and problems does not have a revelation of God's word, power and will in those situations. He also taught that if we are focused and centered on earthly things, how can God give and entrust to us spiritual things? It is definitely time to work on singular focus toward the Lord.

On Monday, we headed off to Alexis reserve. Pastor Victor began to call people out from the audience, and what followed was a powerful time. Five young people accepted Jesus as Saviour, many others were given words of exhortation and received healing. Pastor Judith spoke powerfully at Tuesday night's meeting. One woman who had been ministered to in Stony Plain testified that she had come forward with a bad back, one leg was shorter than the other and her equilibrium was very poor. All her back pain is completely gone, both legs are the same length and she has great balance. Jesus Christ is truly "the Healer". Another woman testified that since the Stony Plain meetings all of her cancer symptoms had disappeared, and she is now cancer free!

Unfortunately, once we were finished at Alexis, many of the team members needed to return home. We really appreciated their enthusiasm, help and support for the entire time. Paul and I headed off to Yellowknife, NWT with the Emenikes. We have all been to Yellowknife so many times it feels like we were coming home for a visit.

Pastors Victor and Judith spoke and taught so powerfully this entire trip that I exhort all reading this report to listen to the recordings of the messages as they are found on this website. Our time in Yellowknife was largely focused on further teaching and equipping our enthusiastic and hungry brothers and sisters in the Lord. God is doing great things up north. They have a very good grasp of healing up there but we were still blessed to be able to minister to several at the meetings. Several people with back problems were fully restored, many emotional issues were healed, one woman with a hernia literally felt it disappear under her fingers, and many more wonderful healings took place.

As with every trip, I have seen and heard of many people who came forward for healing during these meetings, I would love to hear of the confirmation of those healings and the new testimonies of how the Lord has been working in their lives. Anyone reading this report, who was touched during our visit, please send your testimony and report to Pastor Victor and Judith, we would love to get it up on the website!

Until next time,

Gayleen Reese

We want to say thanks to all those who are praying for us.

And in all we thank our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit for doing such mighty work through us.
