Report from Stony Plain, Alberta.

Stony Plain is a community a few kilometres west of Edmonton, the capital of the province of Alberta, Canada.

Lighthouse Church in Stony Plain is a Pentecostal church whose heart is to reach the people in and around Edmonton and Stony Plain with the Good News of the healing power that is only found in Jesus Christ.

Pastor Victor was invited by Pastor Archie Binnie to minister at Lighthouse Church 16-22 September 2005.

Pastor Victor had just concluded an extended ministry tour of Indonesia and was only able to fly into Edmonton late in the evening of Friday 16 September 2005.

Several members of the It Is Easy Ministries team had come to the meetings including Paul and Gayleene Reese.

On Friday evening, the worship was led by Mark Mycula of Lighthouse Church.

Before the offering was received, the people were given the opportunity to financially assist a person in the congregation who was in need. Pastor Archie then told this person to take the money home and to count it, write down the amount, and then to count it again, and to write down the amount again.

He told this person that it would take several times before the amount would be the same two times in a row, because our God was a God of increase, and He would increase that amount until the person had sufficient to meet the needs.

Paul Reese then introduced himself and the members of the team.

He reminded everyone that even if Pastor Victor or anyone else was not there, it did not matter, because the Holy Spirit was there.

Paul then read Matthew 8:16 reminding the people that Jesus healed ALL the diseases.

Following the testimony, Pastor Archie Binnie thanked Gayleene, saying that many had come to see Pastor Victor because he has a healing ministry. Instead we had an opportunity to hear the testimony of a regular Christian who was touched by God.

He then asked why we accept it as true if we hear that someone accepted Jesus in their heart, but then wonder if it is true when someone says that they are healed.

We now have the opportunity to reject this religious mindset.

We want healing so we look for a healing minister to come.
We want revival so we look for a revivalist to come.

Pastor Archie Binnie reminded everyone that they now had the opportunity to pray for each other and allow God to heal people because God would hear all those who turned to Him.

During the time of ministry many lives were touched, and God showed up powerfully.

Following the service, Pastor Archie Binnie went to pick up Pastor Victor from the airport.

On the trip to where Pastor Victor would be staying, they began a conversation.

One of the things Pastor Victor mentioned is that our opinion of who God is and what we think He is able to do, colours the way we pray for people. For instance, how can we pray for healing if we do not think that God is able to heal?

The Holy Spirit does not live in the world. He does not live in the trees or on the mountains. He does not even live in our church or our homes.

However, He does live inside every single believer and it is through the power of the spoken word that we release the power of God into the lives of the people around us.

We want to say thanks to all those who are praying for us.

And in all we thank our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit for doing such mighty work through us.
