Report from Young Canadian Missionary who traveled with It Is Easy Ministries to Australia in 2002

Report date: 18th of May 2003

Hello!

My name is Lizzy Turner, and I am from the great white north (Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada!!!).

I am 18 years old and just finished high school. I traveled with Pastors Victor and Judith from October 3rd to the 29th, 2002.

I learned a lot of things while I was with them, and I just wanted to tell you a bit about my trip.

G'Day Australia!

I arrived on the 3rd of October. It was a really long trip, but it went by really fast because God was with me. I felt really good when I arrived, which was really surprising since I had been traveling for two days without a shower!

The weather was great when I walked off the plane. I was like "Yes Heat!" since I had just come from home where it was below zero and snow on the ground.

I am going to write down all of the places that we went to and some of the experiences that I had.

Old Dingo (one night meeting)

Apostolic Church (Sunday service)

a couple of night meetings

Morphett Vale Baptist Church

We were at this church from the 9th to the 12th. I started to see some really awesome miracles here. One of which I will never forget, because I was part of it ~ A lady who had one leg at least 5cm longer then the other one. I held her legs up while Pastor Judith prayed for her, and I felt her leg grow. Nobody can tell me that it wasn't real, because I was holding her legs when it happened.

I was getting settled in (kind of) because I moved 3 times in the first week. Which ended up being a good thing, because I got to know some different families.

Other then three meetings a day, we did get to do a bit of site seeing and have some free time. We all piled into cars and droves to Victor Harbour to a wildlife park where I got a chance to pet and feed some kangaroos and koalas.

I also learned a couple of dance moves from Victor and Judith and had a few good laughs watching them play pool against one another too!

One other cool experience that happened while we were in Adelaide, was being able to have a tour of the Australian submarines that are getting built and fixed. We got the little guest tags, hard hats and all.

Elizabeth City Church (women's meeting)

Bordertown Highway Christian Center

From the 17th until the 12th, we were in a little town of 2000 people called Bordertown. I met a whole bunch of cool people there, and they taught me all of the Australian phrases.

We got a chance to see some more kangaroos, but this time they were wild, and they were white!

Naracoorte Town Hall (leader's meeting)

Austral-Asian Church

I saw a lot of really awesome miracles here. One of them being this lady who was practically blind. She could only see the outline of images, she couldn't read, or drive. She was prayed for, and after could read this big sign on the wall saying, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever." By the end of the night she could read these small print words that were on a business card! So that was really cool to be able to witness that happening.

It was really neat to see how, even though everybody couldn't understand each other, (because of the language barrier) God could understand everybody, and that's what was the most important.

I did get a chance to go swimming in the ocean. I forgot that it was the ocean and it was salt water. I had never swum in the ocean before and when I dove in I got a big mouthful of salt water. Yuck! It was funny though, because I wasn't expecting it.

The Pastors left on the 29th, and I went to the airport with my new friend Debbie, but we just missed them. So I didn't get a chance to say goodbye, but I will be seeing them again sometime in the future.

Saying Goodbye and heading home

I left on the 30th really early, and got home on the same day because of the time change.

Flight was good

Good to see my family again

After Trip effects:

  • Speaking at the church
  • Continual healings
  • My own knowledge and relationship with God has moved to a higher level
  • Not worrying about things, because God always provides for our needs

We want to say thanks to all those who are praying for us.

And in all we thank our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit for doing such mighty work through us.
