In 2003, we had the opportunity of ministering
in the Ukraine which is a newly independant
country in central Europe that borders on the
Black Sea.
During the weekdays in daytime, we had the
opportunity to visit some of the departments of
God Embassy.
One was the Rehabilitation Centre
This is Hannocha Lyndmila, the
director.
Here are some
workers in the office.
Their rehabilitation
centre has daily programs for drug and alcohol
addicted people and for relatives of those
people.
Their method is to start reaching out to the
relatives of addicted people. ("You and
your household shall be saved" and "
bad roots produces bad fruits", are some of
their guidelines).
The relatives come once a week. They also have
G 12 groups, where they are attending.
The e director says that G 12 groups help meet
the needs of the people.
Apparently the number relatives affected by
addiction is four times greater than the number
of addicted people. It is a huge problem.
There Rehabilitation Centre is open six days a
week from 10 AM. to 6 PM.
They do Bible studies, practice Bible
principles, and also do art, music, theatre,
sports, as well as help in the church
administration as well.
When we interviewed the director, she said
that their prayer is to have more people coming.
Right now they have around 1000 addicted people
in their programs and bout 10 - 20% of them are
really changing and living a life of Christ.

This is the soup
kitchen, the court, another department of God
Embassy in Kiev.
It was great for us to visit
this place. The believers here are doing a great
job.
Before you enter
into the dining place you are welcomed with a
preaching of the Word of God. Without hearing the
Word of God, you cannot eat food. You also have
here the opprtunity to receive prayer.
The soup kitchen was
founded 1998 and has fed 2,000,000 people. It
operates with the help of the church's
businessmen, and feeds 2,000 people daily. They
have 20 workers and all of them are believers.
They work for one week and another one they have
free.
The chief in the
kitchen starts at 5.30 A.M. and food is
served in a very nice clean and comfortable
dining room at 9 A.M.
In the court, there
is a Prayerhouse, where they evangelise first,
even during the feeding time, they hear and can
see the Word of God being preached, through TV's.

The director took
time and showed us all facilities, like the
washrooms, where the homeless person can get
their clothes washed or even can get free new
clothes and take a shower.
The director's name
is Valentina Vasilivna Bokko.
She has a lot of work. They have employed 5
lawyers in order to help the homeless people free
of charge. Many of those homeless people, have
lost their homes - were taken their homes away by
force.
At the moment they are preparing a hotel with
48 beds to give also chances for women and men to
stay overnight. They do special sevices also for
the elderly and for children. many children are
coming to the soup kitchen, also pregnant women.
People of all classes are entitled to receive
help. They also give medical support. The
director said that without spiritual support,
prayer and the word of God their help would be
without success.
Because without God man is selfish. So
everyone has also the opportunity to receive
spiritual food. They do not receive govermental
support, everything is by charity fund or by
donations.
We want to say thanks to all those who are praying for
us.
And in all we thank our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ
and the Holy Spirit for doing such mighty work through
us.
