Ahousaht, Flores Island, BC, Canada

Miracle Meetings & Outreach
2002

Ahousaht is a small First Nations village off the west coast of Vancouver Island, about 45 minutes by boat from Tofino.

Ahousaht’s main industry is fishing, with about 900 people in the village, and 100 extra people elsewhere on what is known as Flores Island.

Victor and Judith went to Ahousaht at the request of Pastors Dan and Susan McLean, Pastors of The Victoria Miracle Centre, and Southside Christian Fellowship Centre.

This is the main harbor of Ahousaht, which is situated in an inlet on the backside of the island.

The McLeans have a heart for the Native communities of the West Coast of British Columbia, and it was on this Island that Hector Gimenez wrote what is now the campaign song for the president of Argentina, while assisting Pastor Dan and Susan in the work of reaching out to this community.

While attending Pastor McLean's Church Camp in Gordon's Bay, B.C., this summer, Victor asked Hector Gimenez to speak in his place. As a result, Hector asked the Emenikes to visit him in Argentina.

This trip will take place in November of this year.

This is the Ahousaht Pride, the bigger of the two passenger ferries that transport people from Tofino to Ahousaht and vice versa. It can hold approx. 25 people comfortable in it, as well as any luggage that the people might have with them.

We are all eagerly waiting for the ferry to finish loading, and depart from the Tofino dock to go to Ahousaht.

This is the inside of the Ahousaht Pride.

You can see that it is quite crowded with our whole team and the regular local people inside the ferry, and a few of us chose to stand outside on the deck rather than be inside the ferry.

Our team consisted of 26 adults, and one toddler. Team members came from all over lower Vancouver Island. We joyfully start getting to know each other on a new level, and there is lots of laughter all around.

Our first group photo at the top of the dock in Ahousaht!

All of us made it safe and sound, and we eagerly anticipate the meetings that will follow as we know they will change the village right side up.

Everybody watches in amazement when Evangelist Victor Emenike starts to preach that first night about healing, and how it is for us today. Many people lean out of their seats, and even stand up to see if the people are really getting healed in front of their own eyes.

They are, and their friends and relatives know that and Evangelist Victor Emenike speaks to a woman while everybody watches in amazement.

When Victor is done speaking, people go up for healing, and everybody starts getting out of their seats to see if it is really happening; It is, and there were many testimonies of these healings coursing through the village the next day.

Many mountains surround the village.

On a clear day you can see them standing upright over the village like guards.

Believe it or not, these pictures were not taken on a clear day, and half of the mountains are hidden behind the clouds.

Up and down the coast of British Columbia several mountains have legends attached to them.

If you look at the mountains north of Vancouver, you can see a sleeping princess.

Gambier Island in Howe Sound is in the shape of a sleeping child.

The mountains surrounding Ahousaht are no exception.

Here you can see an old chief in his burial position. You can still see the chief lying there to this day.

Everybody presses in at the meeting. It was another awesome night at the meeting with Evangelist Victor’s powerful preaching.

God confirmed His Word with many miracles, signs and wonders.

You can see everybody pressing in to see a young mans leg grow out.

Now he can play Basketball without pain!
This so important in a town that is known up and down the coast for it's championship Highschool Basketball teams.

Many other young people were there than night, and they were extremely surprised to see God heal each others ailments.
God really impressed them with His power to impact their lives for the better!

During the final two nights, this sweet old man named Ro-bear came out to the meeting.

During the afternoons, the team would split up in teams of 2-4 people, and go around and knock on people’s doors asking if we could help them in any way, or pray for them.

One couple knocked on Ro-bears house, and he invited them in.

Ro-bear had not been out of his house for three months. This coulple prayed with him that afternoon and God healed his pain. To confirm this healing God blessed him by unstopping his deaf ears.

Someone arranged for a truck so he could come to the meetings.

He was so happy to be there, constantly asking who was getting healed. You could just see Ro-bears face light up when he knew who it was as he gave God the praise for the young people coming to Jesus.

Harvey, our Ahousaht host, stood up at the end of the meeting and asked us to form a line at the front, and everybody in the building stood up, and lined up to shake hands and hug us and just say "Thanks" to all of us. It was a really special and tender moment for all of us. Everybody was so happy that we had kept coming back to the village, and were just expressing their thanks for all that we had done in their lives. Though it was only God letting us have those kinds of results.

We want to say thanks to all those who are praying for us.

And in all we thank our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit for doing such mighty work through us.

Have you been healed in one of our meetings? Please let us know! Write us.
