The national currency is the New Israeli Shekel. One Shekel is worth about 20 Eurocents.

Do not exchange Shekels in your own country.
Currency can be easlily exchanged throughout Israel at hotels, money exchange offices, and ATM machines.

Clothing:

The temperature in the month of November is very pleasant.
In the northern part of Israel we can expect 20 C (68 F).
Jerusalem will be about18 C (65 F).

We suggest bringing jackets/coats as it cools down in the evening.

Guidelines include:
Ladies; No mini dresses or short pants, or bikinis.
Men: no short swimsuits (must be pants with legs).

Please be sure to bring Gala suits and dresses for the "farewell dinner gala" on the final evening of the tour.

Food:

The Food in Israel is westernized. Kosher meals are widely available.

The local diet includes chicken, turkey, fish, rice, fresh vegetables, and salads.
The diet also inclues bread, olives, fresh juice, and pita bread.

Water:

Water is drinkable from the taps throughout Israel.
We also recommend bottled water.

Electrical Power:

The Power grid operates on a 220 VAC/ 50 Hz system.

Israel’s standard plug is unique to Israel and is incompatible with all other plugs. It is rated at 16 amps.
Please be sure to bring a world-plug that allows for this system.

Insurance:

You need to be adequately insured for medical & travel emergencies.
